Chickpeas & Tuna salad
adapted from my Mom

1 can solid white tuna, drained
1 can Chickpeas (Garbanzo beans)(like Progresso), rinsed and drained
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 cup sliced red onion(I left these out, I didn’t have any)
2 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil (extra for serving)
1 tablespoon Basil
Salad greens
Sea Salt & Pepper to taste
A teaspoon or two of Vinegar(We prefer ours without)
A Squeeze of fresh lemon juice

To a medium size mixing bowl add the tuna and flake with a fork. Add the rest of the ingredients except the salad greens. Toss until all the ingredients are evenly mixed and coated thoroughly with the Olive oil. Serve over salad greens with extra Olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.
